Tuesday, analysts for Lionsgate spoke about the ‘Ender’s Game’ movie in relation to Lionsgate’s rising stock value.

Matthew Harrigan of Wunderlich Securities said that ‘Ender’s Game’ has “distinct fanboy and likely general audience appeal.” He also hinted at the possibility of movie sequels when he reported that Lionsgate owns all 12 of Orson Scott Card’s ‘Ender’s Game’ stories. However, he admitted that not all of them are readily adaptable for the big screen.

Variety reports that Doug Creutz of Cowen & Co. said,

“While the book on which the film is based is a classic of the genre, we think the film remains a bit of a longshot to achieve breakout success due to some potentially challenging subject matter.”

So it seems that possibility of ‘Ender’s Game’ movie sequels remains up in the air, although it remains a heavily discussed topic.

The ‘Ender’s Game’ film will be released in U.S. theaters on November 1, 2013.
