‘Ender’s Game’ Film Nominated for Three Saturn Awards

This year marks the 40th annual Saturn Awards. The awards are presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.

‘Ender’s Game’ is nominated for Best Science Fiction Film. Other films in the category are Gravity, The Hunger Game: Catching Fire, Pacific Rim, Riddick, and Star Trek into Darkness.

Harrison Ford, who played Colonel Graff in the ‘Ender’s Game’ film, is nominated for Best Supporting Actor. In this category, Ford is nominated with his ‘Ender’s Game’ co-star, Sir Ben Kingsley. Kingsley is not nominated for ‘Ender’s Game’, but rather for his role in ‘Iron Man 3’. Ford’s other competitors in the category include Daniel Bruhl (Rush), George Clooney (Gravity), Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek into Darkness), Tom Hiddleston (Thor: The Dark World), and Bill Nighy (About Time).

Asa Butterfield, the star of ‘Ender’s Game’, is nominated for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. Others nominated in the category are Chloe Grace Moretz (Carrie), Sophie Neliesse (The Book Thief), Saoirse Ronan (How I Live Now), Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3), and Dylan Sprayberry (Man of Steel).

Winners for this year’s Saturn Awards will be presented in June in Burbank, California.
