DailyBlam scored an exclusive interview with Ender-hopeful, Asa Butterfield. When asked about being offered the role of Ender Wiggin, Butterfield was very coy with his response. He said, “nothing is confirmed yet” and that he is “still in negotiations,” although no details about said negotiations were given specifically. He also commented,

“It’s not an easy part to cast for, [Ender] is so young, and the role is physically demanding for a 7 or 8 year old. I heard they looked at dozens of actors… a wide [age] range.”

From a separate interview yesterday, Asa Butterfield answered the question “If you could pick a famous role to play, or kind of film to be in, what would that be?” He answered “Probably a young James Bond, my ideal role. Or ‘Star Wars’, sci fi.” Sounds like he’d love to play Ender- action and science fiction all in one movie.
